Buckfield Phase 1

Approximately 3,654 acres of land in Jasper and Hampton Counties with 36 miles of river frontage largely on the Coosawatchie River and significant upland longleaf pine. The property has been identified as important not only for its biodiversity, but also for its effect in preserving the bio-connectivity between the ACE Basin and Savannah River Preserve. The property adjoins the Slater Tract, which was purchased in 2021 by the conservation group, Open Space Institute.
